CH Barnett is one of the UK’s leading stainless steel equipment manufacturers. We work across a variety of industrial sectors, each with very different demands, to deliver precision products that meet the exact requirements of our clients.
Our service is flexible and tailored to the unique needs of our customers. Based in Birmingham, we have been providing high-quality bespoke components and assemblies to companies around the world since 1948.
Our expert design team can help you develop problem-solving products for your business.
Our sheet metal fabrication process takes raw materials (only stainless steel and aluminium) then manipulating it to create products that meet particular requirements. This might be conveyor frames, machine frames or product contact components. They can be complex and detailed, or simple panels depending on the specific needs of our clients.
Two of our key client sectors are food and pharmaceutical stainless steel fabrications. This requires us to provide products that are entirely free of lines, grooves and pits, making them safe for processing food, pharmaceutical and medical products.
We only work with non-ferrous metals and never use mild steel. This means that there’s no risk of cross-contamination in the facility.
Food grade stainless steel fabrications
Since the mid-1990s, we have been at the forefront of high-quality grade stainless steel fabrications for various clients within the food processing industry. Our food-grade stainless steel fabrication service has Lloyds Accreditation to ISO 9001: 2015 and we are an approved supplier for several large blue-chip OEMs.
In practice, this means that our products are made in compliance with the strictest quality standards and practices.
Our whole production process has the necessary controls and procedures for producing fabrications for the food industry.
Pharmaceutical and medical steel fabrications
CH Barnett is a trusted supplier of pharmaceutical and medical steel fabrications to a range of leading companies. The manufacture of any fabrications in the sector has to have a range of safeguards to ensure a contaminant-free, sanitary finish. We use TIG and MIG welding methods to ensure the weld is protected from contamination in our dedicated cleanroom assembly area.
To remove dirt and debris created during the machine and processing operations, we carry out bead blasting. This ensures that any problematic issues such as grooves or lines that might harbour harmful micro-biological organisms are removed.
