When making World Class Pharmaceutical Fabrications; machinery, products, components and contact parts used in the pharmaceutical and medical industries have to meet rigorous guidelines and standards in relation to hygiene, quality and safety. Any cross-contamination, however minute, could result in micro-biological organisms affecting the pharmaceutical products being developed/packaged.
It is, therefore, not just any old fabrication company that can produce world class pharmaceutical fabrications. From strict material control to cleanroom assembly, every part of the fabrication process must be completed following stringent quality control procedures.
World Class Pharmaceutical Fabrications Processes
There are many processes involved in stainless steel fabrication, but to provide highly accurate pharmaceutical products, fabrication companies will need to:
- Select the right material
Stainless steel is the ideal choice to produce high quality, precision made fabrications for the pharmaceutical industry. Pharmaceutical-grade stainless steel provides an easy to clean and sanitise surface to prevent contamination, as well as offering excellent corrosion-resistance – even from those chemicals used to clean it.
- Provide exceptional welding services
Only high quality welds are required. These must be smooth and free from holes, pits or splits where bacteria is able to grow. MIG and TIG welding methods use inert gases that protects the weld from contamination.
- Bead blasting
Bead blasting is carried out to ensure that no microbiological organisms are left on the product/component and that there is no cross-contamination, as well as providing a consistent and smooth finish. It provides a surface free from lines, grooves and pits which could harbour bacteria and removes any scale deposited after any heat treatment process, such as welding. In addition, it also removes dirt and debris created during the fabrication process as well, as any sand that may be left during casting.
- Clean room assembly
To prevent cross-contamination from less-sterile areas of the fabrication facility, assembly is carried out in clean room conditions.
